  Went for a road trip and decided to take a detour to the next town.
  Kalbar it was - first we thought there was nothing there but kept on driving till we saw the pub.
  Went in and instantly thought it wasn't going to have food.
  Pleasantly surprised as we walked around the corner and saw tables with "reserved" signs.
  We just made it before it was packed with locals and tourists alike.
  Food was delicious and service was fantastic.
  1 man band was playing outside and lots were enjoying his music.
  Well worth the detour

  Very special experience with delicious, reasonably priced food. This is your classic country pub with some comfortable modern extensions to accommodate the many visitors that frequent the town every weekend. We came in with the family (2 small kids) on a busy Sunday, but had a table made up for us when we couldn't find one available. I had beef cheeks, which were exceptional, wife had salt n pepper calamari, kids both had fish and chips and we were all happy. Great view, friendly staff, classic country pub experience.

  Super friendly service and the food delivery was quick and it seemed like a busy night too. Decent pub meal and will definitely go again

  Omg bloody delish homemade pudding hot with the most delectable sauce. Highly recommend. Also had fresh calamari for dinner that were just as amazing. The owner told us the squid is cleaned, crumbed and cooked fresh daily and you can tell it's top quality. Service and hospitality is just superb. An absolutely lovely country find that can't be driven past.
